She smiled and asked him with same melodious voice “Ain’t you waiting for me here!” . He felt like getting caught, then eventually spoke “Who are you?”
“Does it matter? I was too looking for you.”
“Me! Why? Do you know me?”
“If you don’t mind can we walk” she touched his hand. He almost fainted, her touch was so tender and smooth, he lost his consciousness.
“Are you new to Ely?”
“From last 5 years, I am working in downtown.”
“Never seen ya before. Anyway what you do?”
“Crime Journalist”
“Sounds interesting”
He was holding her hand tightly. Her hand was so cold, despite wearing long Jacket, inside he was shivering.
“What you do?”
She just smiled, he was dumbstruck, she was so white and her long black hairs were drifting in air.
“Are you covering the famous serial killer of Becky Peak?” She asked with so coldness, that he stumbled.
“Who are you?” He asked leaving her hand. He suddenly looked around himself, within short time they were near some park. It was little foggy so he could not make out where exactly they were. “What is this place?” He asked looking around everything.
She smiled and tried to hold his hand “Don’t you find me attractive?”
He tried not to hold her, but something in him tighten the grip on her fingers. “What are you doing to me?” He started to feel the strangeness in the air.
“Don’t you realize what is all about Josh!” Her voice is stiff now.
“Josh!” He repeated.. “I am not Josh!”.. suddenly he was finding difficult to stand.. fog was getting more dense. He felt her grip started to lose.
“I know!” There was sadness in her voice.. he could hear her slow sobbing.
Suddenly she loosen her hand and started to ran. “Hey tell me who are you?” He ran before her, but he found he almost lost his all energy and just fallen. Blood was oozing out of his deep cut in head, he was losing conscious every minute.
From a distance she turned back, looked at him, smiled. She started to move towards him, took his cold and almost dead hand. “Josh.. no you are not Josh.. no “ She was loud then started to cry. Her wail was getting louder with the dense white fog. Next moment, she stopped crying, she started walking towards the cemetery which was getting visible after fog was getting thin. After a while she disappeared, he was still lying in the blood, slowly he was losing his breath and getting numb.

Death of Journalist & Lady on Crossroad - Part 1
He was driving car from crossroads, he saw her crossing the road unaware of everything. Literally two cars ahead of him bumped into each other, but God forbid there was not a single visible damage done. Because he saw her from the distance he slowed down his Honda Accord. He witnessed the incidence, what made him zapped was her reaction. She didn’t even turned but went ahead as nothing happened, though the sound of screeching tyres was deafening.
It occurred to him first that she might be under some influence of drugs or alcohol. But her way of walking was consistent and slow, it appeared that she is engrossed in some deep thought. From back her blue long skirt and open hairs was making her look pretty. Her long slender legs were giving her more appealing look. He was so much trapped in looking at her, that cars behind him started to honk. He smiled at himself and then suddenly she looked at him, straight into eyes. Her white skin was dazzling in the darkness, her eyes were shining as they were wet. She was standing at least four meters from his car, but he felt he can even touch her. Her smooth skin was flawless and he got completely lost into her. Cars behind him again honked, this time he heard loud curse too. He changed the gayer and accelerated his car.
After reaching home, still her face was before his eyes. He didn’t feel like eating and just made himself a drink and switched on the TV. For some reason NEWS was not making any sense and while drinking his hands started to tremble. There was little uneasiness also in the body. He switched off the light, went straight to bed.
Unlike last night, this time he started for home little early. Sun was still visible, but was about to set. Dusk in Ely- old city in Nevada, makes life so happening, that’s the reason despite grown up in DC, he was getting settled here. When turning towards the same crossroad where he saw her last night, his throat was dry. He felt something burning inside. Dante’s Bar on the mid way to cross roads was empty at this hour. Night life of the city was about to start, hence parking was no issue. He opened the door and waitress came running towards him, “Sir, we are not open yet, still have 5 minutes”.
Awkwardly, he smiled “Am sorry, can I wait if you don’t mind”.
She looked to him without any emotion “Off course, come in”
“thanks a lot! “ He embarrassingly smiled. “Anytime sir! Can I bring something to drink” She asked giving him the way.
“Anything you prefer!”
He sat near the window. His eyes started to look for her on the crossroads. What a Fool I am- he thought and smiled to himself. He didn’t know who was she, where she lived and still some vague hope made him to look for her. Impossible!
After 1 hour, he asked for the bill. Waitress brought that immediately as she was waiting for him to go.
Outside it was pretty cold. He again looked at the same place, he saw her last night, he felt more coldness. “Are you looking for me?” His feet got frozen, she was standing on his right looking straight into his eyes. She was so beautiful and her prominent looks with little shadow of the street light making her more pretty. He could not speak, just mumbled “.. Aha.. no!”
